TC03 – Educational use of ICT tools

In this module the participants will get acquainted with the planning of an e-learning curriculum, how to plan and document the steps of creating an interactive multimedia. They will learn what a synopsis and storyboard mean and how to prepare them. At the end of the module the participants will be able to create or collect e-learning objects to a special part of their subject, they will plan an e-learning event based on these e-learning objects.

They will be able to define online learning objects (text, pictures, animation, sound, videos), to evaluate the their pedagogical value, and select ICT tools to create, modify, store them applying standards. The teachers will become familiar with interactive, web based tools and resources and they will be taught to be practiced in how to use them. They will choose and then try out the ones applicable to their specialist subject areas.

Tools will differ in their specific approaches to common goals, so it is important to be able to highlight the lasting principles that are inherent in the specific tools chosen. This will ensure that this exercise has value longer than the lifetime of specific technologies and it will provide a platform for progression to the next levels or waves of technology.
